Cytomegalovirus is a member of the herpesvirus family and is extremely widespread — most people meet it at some point, often without noticing. After the first encounter the virus stays in the body in a dormant state. In healthy people it can produce a mononucleosis-like picture with tiredness, fever and swollen lymph nodes. The “Cytomegalovirus” complex is intended for support during active infection or reactivation.
